We're now seeking a Lifecycle Specialist to join our team and drive automated journey design, segmentation strategy, and lifetime value optimization for our CPG food brand clients. This role is perfect for a marketing automation expert who thrives on creating sophisticated customer experiences that maximize engagement and drive sustainable growth.

Role Overview

The Lifecycle Specialist will be instrumental in designing and executing automated consumer journeys that maximize lifetime value for our CPG food brand portfolio. You will focus on building sophisticated segmentation strategies, optimizing multi-channel campaigns, and creating personalized experiences that drive engagement and conversions. This role offers the opportunity to work with premium food brands while implementing cutting-edge lifecycle marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Journey & Optimization:

  • Journey Mapping: Design and optimize automated consumer journeys from first engagement through repeat purchase, maximizing lifetime value through strategic touchpoint planning
  • Flow Development: Build and maintain automated workflows using platforms like Klaviyo and Braze to nurture relationships at every lifecycle stage
  • Automated Campaign Development: Design, build, and deploy multi-channel automated campaigns across email, SMS, and push notifications
  • Trigger Management: Configure and optimize trigger-based communications including welcome series, abandonment recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, and win-back campaigns
  • Personalization Strategy: Develop dynamic content strategies that deliver timely, relevant messages based on customer behavior, preferences, and purchase history
  • Journey Performance Analysis: Monitor completion rates, conversion metrics, and revenue attribution across all automated flows to identify optimization opportunities
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement ongoing testing and optimization strategies to improve campaign performance and customer experience
  • Weekly Reporting: Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations, translating data insights into actionable growth opportunities

Segmentation & Targeting:

  • Advanced Segmentation: Create sophisticated customer segments based on purchase behavior, engagement patterns, lifecycle stage, and product affinity specific to CPG food brands
  • Behavioral Triggers: Implement behavioral-based automation triggers including browse abandonment, purchase frequency, seasonal preferences, and brand loyalty indicators
  • Lifecycle Stage Management: Develop and maintain clear definitions and transitions between lifecycle stages (prospects, new customers, repeat buyers, VIP customers, at-risk segments)
  • Predictive Analytics: Utilize customer data to predict churn risk, purchase propensity, and lifetime value to inform targeting strategies

General:

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure all activities align with the agency's growth objectives for CPG food brands
  • Problem-Solving Sessions: Address challenges and optimize workflows, considering the unique needs of the CPG food industry

Experience & Skills Required

  • 2-5 years of lifecycle marketing or marketing automation experience, preferably with CPG food brands
  • Strong proficiency in marketing automation platforms: Klaviyo and Braze are a must
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management, segmentation strategies, and behavioral triggers
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in email marketing metrics and customer lifetime value analysis
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and campaign optimization techniques
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple automated campaigns simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present data insights and strategic recommendations
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with creative, development, and account teams
  • Knowledge of email marketing compliance regulations including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and deliverability best practices
  • Creative briefing abilities and experience working with design teams on email/SMS creative assets

Location

This is a remote position (US only). Goodness Inc. is based in Sacramento, CA.

Compensation

$55,000 to $75,000 based on experience, portfolio strength, and role fitĀ
